I bought this item as a gift for my scrapbooking daughter, she loves it. I have personally seen the print quality and was impressed for such a reasonable price. The print cartridges seem to last a long time too. I also purchase the carrying case which makes it easy for her to tote it to scrapbooking parties because it is light weight and compact.
I love my new little printer. It's just what I was looking for. The price was right, the quality is very good and it only took 5 days to be delivered with free shipping.
This small printer works great for 4 X 6 prints, I only use the H-P advanced photo paper, and have excellant results. Small size is a plus, and lcd display lets you eview photos before printing. My wife uses it for small photos (4 per page) for her illusrated journalling, and aslo to print out other journal material.
But.the first picture that I printed was a real eye opener.not just an inkjet print.it was a very nicely finished photo.not like an inkjet print at all. My son got me this printer for Christmas, and I just ordered one for a baby gift for another son and daughter-in-law. I am very happy with mine for printing very nice 4/6 photos. It is simple, small, very efficient and produces wonderful results. When I got mine I was initially unimpressed.I have LOTS of computer toys and a very nice regular inkjet printer and thought it would just be mostly a contraption to set somewhere. Definitly a nice piece of equipment to have to work with my camera and computer.
We wanted the zoom and missed the fact that this one does not have the zoom. The reason I give two stars is because of Beach Camera's return policy. They grudgingly allowed me to return it, as a one-time courtesy with a restocking fee. I wish Amazon would tag the vendors so we could easily see if we were buying from this type of company.
